SKILLS FOR JUSTICE

Archer are proud to be an Approved Centre for SFJ Awards, now delivering a range of Regulated Qualifications.

Established in 2002, Skills for Justice is the Sector Skills Council for the UK Justice, Community Safety, Fire and Rescue, Central and Local Government sectors.

Skills for Justice is licensed by the UK Government, and nationally recognized and a regulated awarding organization.

HIGHFIELD INTERNATIONAL

Archer is the only Approved Centre to deliver Highfield Qualifications in South Sudan.

Regulated by Ofqual, SQA, Qualifications Wales and CCEA, Highfield is one of the UK’s leading awarding organisations for work-based learning and apprenticeship qualifications.

ACCREDITED i HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TRAINING (HEAT)

Our two-day HEAT course is endorsed by Skills for Justice which is a Skills for Justice in the UK, and is mapped against National Occupational Standards (NOS SKSJ40 Work in Challenging or Hostile environments). The training ensures that the employers' legislative responsibility to provide training is met and that all attending staff are prepared for their deployment to locations of elevated risk. The HEAT course focuses on the diverse contexts of South Sudan, current threats, vulnerabilities, and exposure to individual and organisational risk and includes First Aid.

The third day is the medical day, which is a separately certified Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification with HighfieldInternational.  EFAW is focused on the practical elements of Basic Life Support (CPR & AED), Wilderness illness and injury conditions, Wound Management, dealing with Catastrophic bleeding and Management of Shock. This training will identify protocols to effectively assess existing First Aid and Medical infrastructure, including Policies and Procedures, equipment, and access to medical support for all staff. The course will be primarily practical delivery allowing the staff to fully understand and become competent in the techniques required to assist a casualty and potentially save lives.

NON-ACCREDITED i PERSONAL SAFTEY & SECURITY

An entry level security training which is targeted specifically towards local staff in South Sudan who may be travelling to the field. This training covers a number of topics including risk awareness and mitigation, UXO & Mine Awareness, basic health & safety, fire safety, vehicle safety & journey management, basic first aid, as well as residential security and methods improving safety and security in your home and community.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK

First Person on Scene

FPSOI (International) is an advanced First Aid qualification designed for individuals who work in high-risk environments and may have access to more advanced medical equipment and resources. This qualification is ideal for security operatives, close protection operatives, industrial first aiders, and others who require a higher level of competence in First Aid.

To achieve effective situational awareness, drivers need to observe as much of their surroundings as possible and be aware of the hazards they may face. Lacking or inadequate situational awareness has been identified as one of the primary factors in accidents, NGO vehicles being ambushed, or just being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. This training will practice drivers with key skills to improve their situational awareness and ultimately reduce the risk of getting involved in a road traffic collision.

HEALTH & SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

This training aims to develop an understanding of the workplace's principles of Health and Safety. It is ideal for employees, or those re- entering employment, where an all-round understanding of health and safety principles is important. This qualification would support a role in the workplace.
