Archer maintains a robust security risk function and has a great deal of experience providing risk consultancy to a number of international NGOs and diplomatic organizations in South Sudan. We conduct ad hoc consultancy engagements, provide embedded security personnel to organizations and provide services on retainer.

Our risk team is led by Dr. Michael Grieves and consists of international and national risk experts who have over 20 years experience in South Sudan, and an astute understanding of the security and contextual dynamics.

We can support your organisation in a number of ways.

  • Overseeing and providing strategic direction for major security related projects

  • Working with business leaders to provide strategic direction for security

  • Conducting senior-level briefings, presentations and presenting security recommendations

  • Identifying security threats and advising on the most suitable security measures available

  • Creating security policies, processes, standards, and procedures

  • Creating country level casualty and medical evacuation plans to support operations

  • Creating country level Security Risk Assessments at all levels

  • Creating Intruder Detection System Assessments (CCTV etc.)

  • Implementing security measures, providing technical supervision and advising as required

  • Advising on security protocols and requirements including costs (e.g. staff, equipment, and maintenance)

What separates Archer from other security companies is the extra layer of effort. That layer is not always tangible or linked to any specific contractual deliverable, but it’s what reinforces a feeling as a client that you are in good hands – which isn’t defined by simply checking a box. It’s the balance of being caring, approachable, and yet experts at your craft.
